Our real cookie banner at the bottom of the Kasbloei nursery site, with Accept and Reject the same size. After a click on Reject it says the choice is saved. A next round opens the settings, turns Statistics on and saves that choice.
How it works
- You paste one line on your siteOne script line at the top of the head of your pages.
- The scan finds your cookiesAfter you prove your domain, the scan reads at most 50 pages and puts each cookie in a category.
- Visitors choose, you see whatHow many visitors accepted or rejected everything, and the proof per choice as a download.
From a visit to your site to a choice in your portal
A visitor arrives, the banner asks, the visitor chooses and saves. Then what visitors chose adds up in your portal. On the left the real banner on an example site, on the right the Cookies screen with what the scan found.
A visitor opens the site of the Kasbloei nursery. The banner asks for consent. The visitor opens Settings, turns Statistics on and leaves Marketing off, and saves. In the owner's portal the number of custom choices goes up under What visitors chose. Under What the scan found you see which cookies the scan found on the site.

There is more to it
Good to know
Is a cookie banner mandatory, and what is exempt?
For cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as marketing and tracking, the Telecommunications Act (art. 11.7a) requires consent. If you only use necessary cookies, no banner is needed. Analytics cookies with little privacy impact can be exempt if they are set up properly; otherwise they need consent.
May Accept be larger than Reject?
We advise against it. The Dutch Data Protection Authority regards a much more prominent Accept as a misleading design. With us both buttons are equally large and equally prominent.
How long does consent last?
With us at most twelve months. After that, or as soon as your cookie list changes, the banner asks again. A visitor can always change their choice.
Does this work on WordPress, Shopify and Webador?
On any site where you can put a line in the head of your pages, also with Google Tag Manager: put our line above it. We have no separate plugin and no ready-made Tag Manager template.
My site blocks the scanner, now what?
We never get around a site that refuses bots. You have three ways: allow our address in your firewall, let the banner watch along through the script, or fill in the cookies yourself and confirm that your list is correct. Until then your banner says the cookie list has not been fully scanned yet.
What does a cookie banner cost?
You pay per site per month, with a discount for a year; the amounts are shown above, from our price list. No limit on pages or visitors for the banner. For comparison (their pricing pages, 16 October 2026): Cookiebot Premium Lite covers 1 domain and up to 50 subpages, CookieYes Basic up to 100,000 page views per month. Both have a free plan; we don't.
Honest about what the cookie banner does not do
What we do not do:
- Automatic blocking is an option (data-autoblokkeren) and not a full scanner: what was already fetched and scripts with inline text you mark yourself with one attribute. Google tags follow Consent Mode.
- No scan behind a login or a purchase, and the scan reads at most 50 pages per run. What the scan misses you fill in yourself, and you mark third-party scripts yourself, with one attribute per script.
- Not a certified consent platform (such as TCF). If you need that, a specialised provider is a better choice.
- Not legal advice and no guarantee that your site complies with the law. The texts are a good basis; have a lawyer review them.
- A banner is not the whole picture: your cookie list, your privacy statement and your processors must be right too.
