This statement concerns the cookies and storage in your browser on Denkploeg's own pages and screens (app.denkploeg.nl and the associated studios). The websites that customers make with Denkploeg have their own cookie statement.
In short: inside the portal and the studios, Denkploeg uses no analytics, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. On our public sales pages (the home page, pricing, the demo, the documentation and the landing pages) we measure visits with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, but only if you say yes in our cookie banner (section 2a). With a yes for marketing we also load the Meta Pixel. Without a yes we do not load those scripts. On the sign-up form, the demo page and the legal pages we count only page views and events with Google Analytics (and, with a yes for marketing, the Meta Pixel), without recordings. We never measure in the browser on sign-in, at checkout or inside a workspace.
1. Strictly necessary cookie
| Name | Purpose | Retention period | Attributes |
|---|---|---|---|
dp_sessie | Keeps you logged in. Contains a random token; our database holds only a hash of it | Up to 14 days, and shorter in case of inactivity (60 minutes; 480 for platform administrators) | httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, shared across .denkploeg.nl so that the portal and the studios use the same session |
This cookie is set only after you have successfully logged in (even if the second step is still pending).
2. Preferences that you set
These are cookies that remember your choice. They are not shared with third parties. They are set when you make the choice, or (for language) on a screen with a workspace.
| Name | What it remembers | When set | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
dp_thema | Light, dark or system | When you choose the theme | 1 year |
dp_voorkeurtaal | Dutch or English, also for the login screen | When you choose the language on the login screen or in Account (1 year). Also when you open a page in the other language on the public site, such as /en: then we set it without an expiry date, so it disappears when you close the browser | 1 year, or until you close the browser (session cookie) |
dp_taal | The language of the workspace you are working in | On a screen with a workspace, as a copy of the language the workspace has set; with Secure as soon as the page is on https | Until you close the browser (session cookie, since 14 October 2026) |
dp_portal_expert | Simple or Expert view in the portal | When you choose the view | 1 year |
dp_site_expert | Simple or Expert view in Website Studio | When you choose the view | 1 year |
dp_site | The most recently chosen site in Website Studio | When you open a site | 180 days |
dp_meten_clarity_over | Which steps you skipped in Measure | When you skip a step | 1 year |
dp-geen-stijl | Whether the brand is on or off in the view | When you use the switch | 1 year |
2a. Statistics on the sales pages, only with consent
The banner appears on the sales pages. Accept and Reject are the same size; Cookie settings in the page footer lets you change your choice. We keep your choice and the proof of it (time, a random ID, your choice per category and the banner version) without an IP address and without browser data, for 13 months (our own cookie banner; we ask again after 12 months). Only the sales pages have a banner; in the portal and the studios we use only necessary cookies and preferences that you choose yourself.
| Name | From | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
dp_cookies | Denkploeg | Your choice in the banner, with a random id as proof | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics (Google Ireland) | Counting and recognising visits across pages; Google receives your IP address, Google Analytics does not store it, according to Google | Up to 2 years |
_fbp | Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland), only with a yes for marketing | Recognising visits to measure Denkploeg advertisements; Meta receives your IP address, device data and the pages you view | 3 months |
_clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID | Microsoft Clarity | How pages are used, with heatmaps and session recordings; input fields are masked | _clsk 1 day, the rest up to 1 year |
If you say no or choose nothing, we do not load the scripts of Google, Microsoft and (without a yes for marketing) Meta and nothing goes to them. If you later withdraw a yes, we no longer load them; the cookies they already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them, but are no longer read. Only with a yes to statistics or marketing do we also pass a checkout step or purchase on, from our server, to Google Analytics (with the client ID from _ga) and to Meta (with a hashed email address), see the privacy statement. Google Ireland and Microsoft are processors for us; transfers outside the EEA rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses in their processing terms.
3. Storage in your browser
Besides cookies, we keep a few things in your browser's storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). Most of them stay in your browser; a few values go to our server to recognise you (the code of a guest on a trial page, the visitor ID of the chat).
| What | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar collapsed, dismissed status bar and ceiling bar, motion paused, background of the comparison slider | Remembering your view | Until you clear the storage |
| Safe zone and unsent draft in the live editor, resolved notices in the review report | Not losing work | Until sent or cleared |
| Logo intro, tour, open section in settings, recovery of a generation in progress | Remembering once per tab | Until you close the tab |
| Name and code of a guest on a trial page (only for guests who open a share link) | Recognising the guest within a single trial, so that his or her comments stay with him or her | Until the guest clears them |
A random device ID (dp-apparaat), only if you turn on notifications on this device | Recognising your device for notifications; goes to our server | Until you clear the storage or turn notifications off |
Your choice on the pricing page for amounts excluding or including VAT (dp-prijzen-btw) | Remembering your choice; stays in your browser | Until you clear the storage |
For guests who open a share link, trial page or briefing form on the sharing domain (dpdeel.nl), we set no cookies; the trial page stores only the guest's name and code in the browser's storage, as described above.
The chat of a customer site (Support widget). If a customer has put the Support Studio on their site, that site shows a Denkploeg chat window. That window keeps in the localStorage of the Denkploeg domain a persistent random visitor ID (dp-steun-bezoeker), the current conversation (dp-steun-gesprek-*), a muted state (dp-steun-demp-*) and a half-typed message (dp-steun-concept-*), and in the sessionStorage dp-steun-open-* and dp-steun-bel. The visitor ID goes to our server and is stored with the conversation. The visitor ID is written only when the visitor sends a first message and a session is needed; merely loading the page or opening the chat writes nothing (N-193). The customer includes this in their own cookie statement; we supply the text.
Our own chat assistant. Our own chat assistant is on our public pages. It uses the same storage as the Support widget above (dp-steun-*); the visitor ID is written only at your first message. We are responsible for this ourselves.
4. What we do not do
- No analytics or statistics in the portal and the studios, and on the sales pages only after a yes (section 2a).
- No advertising or tracking cookies and no pixels from Meta, Google or others in our pages, except the Meta Pixel after a yes for marketing (section 2a). Only after a yes do we also pass data on from our server, as section 2a states.
- No external fonts or scripts on our pages, except Google Analytics and Clarity after a yes and the Meta Pixel after a yes for marketing, and the bot check of Cloudflare (Turnstile) on sign-up, starting a demo and the contact form. Turnstile sets no cookies, but reads characteristics of your browser and device to see whether you are a human; that is needed to be able to submit the form and falls under what is strictly necessary to secure the service (Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act). Only if you yourself open the Google Drive picker, or choose a font from Google's library in the brand editor, does your browser connect to Google. On a customer site with the Support widget, the customer can choose Google fonts; Google then receives the visitor's IP address.
5. Clearing or refusing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and storage in your browser's settings. Without dp_sessie you cannot log in; without the preference cookies everything keeps working, but your choices are not remembered.
