Frequently asked questions about getting a website made
What does it cost to get a website made?
That depends on the package. The price is under 'What a website from Website Studio costs' on this page, from our price list, per month and per year. There is no one-off build fee and no separate bill per page.
How long does it take?
You immediately see a page with your colours and blocks to fill in. How fast you are live depends on how much you want to adjust yourself and whether the check is satisfied.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Your site always gets an address from us. You connect your own domain with a TXT record that proves it is yours, and a CNAME or A record.
Who writes the texts?
You do, and if you like AI helps. Each field shows who wrote the text: you, AI, your brand book or an example. Text you wrote yourself is never silently overwritten.
Can I adjust things myself?
Yes, by clicking a text or photo and typing, and by dragging blocks. Every change is a version. Going online does require a signature.
Can I make a site for a client?
Yes. Choose the client's brand when creating a new site. For multiple clients there is an agency licence.
Honest about what a website from Website Studio is not
What we do not do:
- Not a drag-and-drop builder with a thousand templates. You work from your brand and adjust; publishing goes through a signature.
- Not a web shop. You connect a shop through Commerce Studio, currently for Shopify.
- The legal texts are a good basis, not legal advice.
- You connect your own domain yourself with a DNS record. That takes a few minutes, not a move.
