Accessibility
Denkploeg should be usable for everyone.
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is an honest account of what we do and where it is not finished.
What we aim for
Every page must be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader and zoom, with enough contrast and without motion or sound forcing itself on you.
- Everything you can do with a mouse you can do with the keyboard, with a visible focus.
- Tap targets are at least 44 pixels, and text stays readable when zooming.
- Motion is short and stops or disappears if you turn on reduced motion in your system.
- Forms have labels and say in words what went wrong.
What we check
Websites made with Website Studio go through a check before going online, with an automatic test for accessibility, contrast, focus and readability. A serious error stops it from going online. An automatic test does not catch everything; it does not replace a person using the page.
What is not good yet
No independent audit has been done on this platform yet, so we claim no conformance. Some parts of the workspace, such as dragging blocks in the editor, are built mostly for mouse use and have a keyboard route that could be better. An AI working in the crew sometimes makes images without good alt text; you adjust that yourself before putting it online.
Reporting a problem
Can you not get through somewhere, or does something not work with your assistive technology? Send us a message with the page, what you tried and which assistive technology you use. We fix it or say honestly why it cannot be done, and we do not promise a response time we cannot keep.
