The bar at the top of a workspace

What the bar at the top means (demo, read-only, archived, an announcement), who you can reach and what you can dismiss.

DocumentationThe bar at the top of a workspace

Sometimes there is a bar at the top of your workspace. It tells you how things stand, and only appears when there is something to report. You see it in the portal and in every studio.

What it can say

NoticeWhat it means
DemoA trial with an end date. Seven days before the end you get a reminder.
Read-onlyYou see your work, but cannot change, generate or publish anything. It says who you can contact.
ArchivedThe workspace is closed to the client. An export is still possible.
AnnouncementA message from your agency or from Denkploeg, until the end date.
PaymentA notice about the payment for usage.
The platform is looking in or interveningA Denkploeg administrator opened a workspace they are not a member of. It says whether they are only looking in (read only) or intervening, and why. See below.

What exactly happens with a demo, a pause or an archive is in Agency and workspaces.

The platform is looking in or intervening

A Denkploeg platform administrator only enters your workspace by choosing to, with a reason and a code from their own authenticator app. They choose between two modes, and you see which:

  • Looking in is read only. They see what you see, including the History and what the workspace costs, but they ask the director nothing, sign nothing and change nothing. The bar says: The platform is looking in, read only, for the reason: ...
  • Intervening is everything an owner may do: use the director, sign and change settings. The bar says: The platform is intervening, for the reason: ... Managing team members and roles, keys and tokens stays with you, because those would outlive the 60 minutes. Opening one of your invoices stays a separate action with a reason per invoice.

Both last 60 minutes, after which they must give a reason and a code again, or press Stop earlier. Your History shows a line with their reason every time, and everything they do in that time is marked via the platform. A turn of the director that they ask is charged to the workspace itself, like any other turn; you see it in Usage marked via the platform. An agency administrator cannot choose this for another workspace, and a member of your workspace cannot raise their own role with it.

Who you can reach

A notice sometimes has a button. Send an email writes to the contact address your agency has set, and Ask a question opens the support window at the bottom right. You always ask a question there and not in the bar: the bar is one-way.

What you can dismiss

You hide an ordinary notice with the cross, and that is remembered in your browser. A pause and an announcement that needs attention stay put. That way you know why your buttons do nothing.

If you send an announcement yourself as an agency, you read how that works in Announcements to your clients.

The tour

The question mark at the bottom right has a tour of the bar, under All tours. If there is no bar right now, there is nothing to point at.
