You sign in with your email address and password. If you turned on two-step sign-in, Denkploeg then asks for a code from your app or your passkey. With a passkey you can also skip the password: choose Sign in with a passkey (see Signing in with a passkey). You do not create an account yourself: access comes from an invitation.
Language and appearance
At the top right you choose Dutch or English and dark or light. The screen remembers this in this browser, also after signing out. Without a choice it is Dutch, whatever your browser language, and the appearance is dark.
Forgot your password
Choose Forgot your password, enter your email address and you get a link to choose a new password. The answer is the same for every address, so nobody can find out who has an account here. The link works for 30 minutes and once. A new password has at least twelve characters; after saving, every running session closes and you sign in again.
Accepting an invitation
An invitation link shows who invited you, to what and with which role. You only become a member when you confirm yourself. The email address comes from the invitation and cannot be changed. An invitation is valid for 7 days.
When it does not work
A wrong password and an unknown address give the same message. After too many failed attempts the door closes for a quarter of an hour; the screen does not say which limit you hit. Typing without a connection? The screen says you are offline and keeps what you typed.
