Under Move or leave on Agency (/agency/<your-agency>/moves) you let a client go to another agency, continue independently or stop. Pausing a client temporarily is not a departure: that is a status. An agent never starts this; it is an action a person signs with a code.
The steps
- Proposal. An owner or administrator prepares the proposal: a client and what happens (to another agency, continue independently or leave). When moving you give the id of the other agency. There is only one move per client at a time.
- Export. The agency makes an export of everything that belongs to the client: data, members, brands and files, without secrets. The download link goes by email to the client's owner, not to the agency. It works for thirty days and has a checksum.
- The client's agreement. The client's owner agrees themselves in their workspace (
Move). The agency cannot do that on behalf of the client, not even through a second account. - The other agency accepts (only when moving). Only then does that agency see the client.
- Signing. The owner of the agency signs with a code in the agency's own workspace. Without an export, agreement and (when moving) a receiver this is not possible.
What happens
- Moving or continuing independently: the client belongs to the other agency (or to nobody). The assignments, the board, the shared connections and the own price of the old agency stop; the modules of the new agency apply.
- Departure: the client stays read-only for 90 days, after which the content is erased. In that time you undo it with Undo departure; then the client is active again.
Every step is in the client's log, and that always remains, even after the erasure.
