The default for the director and writing tasks is Sonnet 5.5. Existing Sonnet 5 selections move to Sonnet 5.5; an explicit selection of another model stays in place. Past usage keeps its original model and cost.
How to ask the director and the studios for something so you get what you meant in one go. No tricks: what a colleague needs to do it well, the crew needs too.
The director
- Say what has to happen, not how. "Pick up yesterday's ticket" works; it works out by itself which ticket that is and which repository it belongs to.
- Name the goal and the limit. "Make three ads for the winter jacket, for Instagram, and keep it under ten euros" gives it a direction and a ceiling.
- Attach context. With the plus you link a repository, an epic or a story to the conversation. Then you do not have to repeat it with every question.
- A screenshot says more than a description of an error you can see but cannot explain. Paste it into the conversation.
- Anything that goes out waits for a signature. Feel free to ask for something to be published or sent: it is queued under Approvals, and only happens once someone with signing rights has signed.
- Short is cheap. For a simple question, pick a light weight; for a complicated assignment it may think more thoroughly, and that costs more.
An image or a video
- Describe what is in the frame, in order of importance: subject, what it does, the setting, the light, the composition.
- Name references in the prompt. A reference image you attach but do not mention is often ignored. Say "the product from reference 1, worn like in reference 2".
- One thing at a time. A prompt that asks for five changes at once usually delivers three.
- Camera movement is text in video: "slow push-in", "static shot", "handheld follows the person".
- Let the brand profile handle the house style. Colours, fonts and logo come from the brand profile; you do not need to repeat them in every prompt.
What does not work
- Asking for "something nice". Say who it is for, what for and where it will be placed.
- Putting a password or key in a conversation. Keys belong under Connections, where they are stored encrypted.
- Expecting the crew to remember something from another conversation. What should last, you put in a skill.
