Settings and brand of your agency

The details of your agency, the defaults for new client workspaces, the brand and appearance with a preview, the engine order under Connections and closing the agency.

DocumentationSettings and brand of your agency

Settings

Under Settings (/agency/<your-agency>/settings) are the things you rarely change and that have consequences, in four tabs with icons: Details, New client workspaces, Second step and Notifications. On a phone you can scroll the tabs sideways. Your input stays when switching; an error opens the relevant tab. Close the agency is separate at the bottom. One bar at the bottom saves the details and defaults; it appears as soon as something changes and has Save and Restore.

Text, selects, numbers, dates and a confirmation code in a row use the same field size. An adjacent button matches it. The select menu is at least as wide as its field. A code field starts empty; enter the current code from your app.

  • Agency details: name, legal name, chamber of commerce number, VAT number, IBAN, address, website, email, phone, the contact address for your clients and notes. What is there must be right: a chamber of commerce number has 8 digits, a VAT number looks like NL123456789B01, an IBAN has a check digit, a postcode is 3311 CA. An error appears at the field. Only the owner changes the company details and the name. With Find the agency in the Chamber of Commerce you fill in name, number and address; this also works when your agency has no workspace of its own yet. It uses the Denkploeg chamber of commerce key; each agency has its own limit per day and per month. If that limit is reached or lookup is temporarily off, the field says so and you fill in yourself.
  • New client workspaces: the template, the language, the time zone and whether a new client workspace starts on trial. The New client workspace dialog begins with these choices. With Set up the crew automatically (on by default) the agents that belong to a module are ready as soon as you switch that module on for a client workspace; what was already there stays as it is (see The crew).
  • Second step and Notifications for you: the second step policy shown as a sentence (who must use it and how many days of delay), with a button to Sign-in where the owner changes the policy, and a link to the notifications under Messages to clients.
  • Close the agency is at the bottom, in a red zone. It is only possible when there are no active client workspaces left; otherwise the button says why it is off. Then you type the name of the agency and give a code from your app. Closing cannot be undone. The keys for other systems are closed and the history is kept. Only the owner does it.

Brand and appearance

Under Brand and appearance (/agency/<your-agency>/identity) you set the brand of the agency: a colour and a logo for light and dark, for the portal, the mail and the client portal. On the right you see how it looks while you choose, light and dark side by side.

  • Source: by default the brand follows the brand profile of the agency's own workspace, with the version and who signed it. The fields are then closed. Set manually is a deliberate choice; the profile then no longer follows, until you switch back. If the agency has no workspace of its own, manual is the only choice.
  • Accent colour: pick an example colour, your own code or the colour picker. The contrast check shows whether the text on the button is readable. If the colour is too dark or too light for a view, a short warning appears with a suggestion that works in both views, and a button to use it; the ratio is in the tooltip. Until you use the suggestion, that view falls back to the yellow of Denkploeg; that is an explanation, not an error.
  • Logo: drag a file onto the area or click. A PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 500 kB; a larger file or another type is refused with the reason at the field. An SVG is allowed too (up to 200 kB): it is converted to a PNG when you save and never stored itself. If it contains a script, a reference to the outside or an embedded image, it is refused with the reason at the field.
  • White-label in the portal: white-label is a choice. If your plan includes it, switch on "Our logo at the top, instead of Denkploeg" under Brand and appearance; it is off by default and Denkploeg sits at the top. When it is on, your clients see the logo of the agency (or its name if there is no logo) in the bar of the portal instead of that of Denkploeg, and your accent colour on the buttons. At the bottom of the sidebar, small "Powered by Denkploeg" appears once; on the sign-in screen and in the mail too. If white-label is not in your plan, your clients simply see Denkploeg and Brand and appearance shows a notice; colour and logo still apply to signing in and invitations. Only platform administrators see a label in the bar saying the environment carries its own brand.
  • Advanced, Custom CSS: collapsed. The field shows line numbers and which lines are ignored. An @import, an address to another domain or an HTML tag is refused. The CSS only takes effect once you turn Apply on.

One bar at the bottom saves everything, in one go: if it fails, nothing has changed, and the history gets one line saying what changed (the source, the colour, the logo, the CSS). If the agency is set to Manual, the preview under Follow the brand profile already shows the profile's logo before you save. Only the owner changes the brand.

Connections, the engine order

Under Connections the top shows What the crew runs on: the engines in the order in which the agency wants to settle, as a list with a number, a handle, arrows and a switch. Drag an engine, use the arrows, or hold Alt and press the up or down arrow. The screen announces the new order aloud. At least one engine always stays on. A key that is already set is closed and only shows the last four characters; replacing it asks for a code.
