The Denkploeg assistant follows the current registration status. When registration is closed or its status cannot be confirmed, it points to early access and does not offer a new trial or trial credits, even if older knowledge sources mention them. It can still explain an existing trial to someone who already has access.
Your subscription is in your workspace under Manage, Subscription. On one card it shows what you use, what it costs, when you pay next, with which payment method and whether a discount is running. Under the card are three equal buttons: Change plan, Pause and Cancel. Only the owner of the workspace can change it; an administrator can read it. If your workspace runs through an agency, your subscription runs through the agency: you see who manages it, without price or payment method, and a button to email the agency if it has set a contact address.
An amount is shown with VAT large and without VAT below it, with its period (per month or per year). If your invoice details are not known yet, it says excluding VAT; we never guess a percentage. The prices per plan are on the pricing page. The start page shows four plans as bundles: Website, Support, Business and Everything, with the studios in each (hover or tap to see what a studio does). A switch lets you choose monthly or yearly; amounts, credits and savings come from the same list as the pricing page. The page of a solution (for example Get a website made) also shows the plan of that page as the same card, with the same switch and, if there is a bundle, that bundle next to it; a bundle in the offer carries the label Bundle price. Choosing a plan, changing and paying goes through Checkout, in two steps.
Trial
- Fourteen days, no credit card. A new workspace always starts with a trial; you choose your plans whenever you like. Nothing is charged automatically.
- The trial includes 200 credits for AI work, right from the start.
- You can extend the trial once by a week, with a button on the subscription screen.
- The trial stays free of a card. For what costs us real money or goes outside, namely making and delivering video and generating large batches (more than ten images at once), we ask for a one-time authorisation of 1 cent through iDEAL to verify that you are a real business. You do this under Verification (the message in the studio links straight to it; only the owner can start it). You get the cent back, usually within a few working days, and we revoke the authorisation right away: nothing is ever charged and nothing turns into a subscription by itself. We do not keep your account number, only a fingerprint of it, for twelve months: one account gives one trial with these options, across workspaces. If your account was already used for another trial, you get your cent back and you choose a plan to continue. Publishing to the outside needs a paid plan. A paying workspace never notices this.
- One trial per company per twelve months: by the domain of your email address (
mail.company.comandcompany.comcount as the same company) and, if you enter it, by your Chamber of Commerce number. With a free email address, that address counts (ignoring dots and the+part). At most three free trials come from one internet connection per thirty days; beyond that you see that there is no room right now. - Sign up yourself at
/aanmelden, with one field: your work email address (or your company's Chamber of Commerce number if you use a free email address, under "No work address?"; that number must exist at the Chamber of Commerce, and if the Chamber cannot answer right now you try again later). On the right you see what belongs to your sign-up: if you arrive with your site address you see that site and what Denkploeg does with it; if you come from a product page (such as the cookie banner or the assistant) you see that product; otherwise you see the crew and signing. The trial benefits depend on where you come from: the cookie banner costs no credits, the assistant counts in conversations, the rest in trial credits. We do not ask for your name: we take a provisional one from your address, and you change it in My account. You get a link that works for one day; after choosing a password your workspace is ready and you return to where you were, for example the screen in the demo. The form needs a few seconds to fill in and stays valid for six hours; if it has expired, reload the page. If you ask for the same sign-up several times within a day you receive at most three emails; the screen always says the same thing. - Two-step sign-in: as an owner you must set up two-step sign-in. Ordinary work can go on for a few days without it. Inviting or removing people, changing a role, creating a connection, key or machine token and leaving the trial only work once two-step sign-in is on; if you try earlier, the screen tells you to turn it on first under My account, and your next sign-in asks you to set it up.
- A disposable address (such as Mailinator or Guerrilla Mail) does not get a trial: use an address you keep.
- Trials are sometimes full. All trials together share a daily budget for AI work. When it is used up, new paid work in a trial pauses until the next day and you see "Trials are full for today, try again tomorrow". Reading, editing and choosing your plan keep working; with a paid plan you will not notice this.
- Free trial places per month. We hand out a limited number of free trials per calendar month, to begin with about fifty. When they are all taken you see "The free trial places are all taken this month. You can choose a plan right away." with a link to the plans, and no email is sent. A place goes to whoever confirms their trial first: if you already got a link you can confirm as long as the month is not full. If it is full you see the same text; your link is not used up and stays until it expires after a day. On the first of the month (Amsterdam time) there are places again.
- If many trials were started that day, the confirmation page says we are full for now; your link stays valid until it expires, otherwise you request a new one tomorrow.
- If you do not choose before the end, your workspace becomes read-only: you can still view everything (with the trial watermark, see below) and request your data with Export your work under Subscription, and nothing is deleted. If you choose a plan later, everything continues where you left off.
Looking up your company when you sign up
If you sign up with a private address (for example Gmail or Ziggo), we ask for your company's Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number. You can look up your company by name or number: what you pick fills in the number and the company name. Each lookup costs us money, so it is limited: a bot check first, at most ten lookups per day from one internet connection and five per sign-up session, and a monthly cap for everyone together. If the cap is reached or lookup is not available, you simply enter the KvK number and your company yourself. That is always possible.
What works in the trial and what needs a plan
In the trial you can try everything and review it. What goes outside, or comes along in full quality, needs a plan: the start of your subscription is the authorisation: a valid direct-debit mandate through iDEAL, which you give with the first payment. If that first payment is zero, because of a 100 percent discount code or a free first month, we still ask for one cent, which you get back: without a mandate you stay in the trial. As soon as it is there, everything works right away, without reloading or redoing anything.
In the trial
- View everything in the portal and in the studios: images, videos, logos, the site you are building, your brand guide and your campaigns.
- View and download in low quality, with a watermark. Every image you see is smaller (longest side at most 800 pixels) and carries a very light, repeating pattern of the Denkploeg symbol, with a small "Proef" label in the corner. A video is 480p and lasts at most 10 seconds (a shorter clip comes whole), audio is short and small. A screenshot, a right click or the network tab gives the same: you never see the original in the trial. That way you can judge the work well, but not use it without a plan.
- Copying text from the chat: that is not a file.
- The cookie banner and the customer service bot on your own site: these are the products you try in the trial, so they may stay live while your trial runs. If your trial has ended without a plan they stop, and safely: the banner goes to a strict mode (only necessary cookies, every other script stays blocked, no choice window and no new consents), so your site never loads trackers without consent because the banner dropped out; the customer service bot no longer loads, without an error for your visitors. The portal shows a notice and your conversations stay readable. With a plan everything works again right away. The font of your brand and the images of the widget do follow the rules of the trial (a watermark or a default font).
- The bar at the top. While your trial runs, every screen has a bar with the days you have left and the link Choose a plan. On a phone that bar is one line; the cross closes it for a day (in this browser only). When your trial is over the bar stays and there is no cross. Without an AI key a bar Without an AI key appears in the same form, with the link to Keys.
- A test email to yourself, inviting people from your own team, and preparing everything: building a site, setting up a campaign, writing a newsletter.
Only with a plan
- Putting things outside: putting your website online, connecting a domain, putting campaigns or ads live (Meta and Google), publishing social posts, sending newsletters and other messages to others.
- Taking things home: exporting the site, your brand guide and brand book as a file (pdf), the logo package (zip), design tokens, a campaign delivery, and a csv of your data (contacts, subscribers, statistics, usage) or an export of your assistant. Images, videos and logos in full quality.
- A block shows on the button itself: it stays visible, with a lock, a short explanation and a Choose your plan button.
Always, also in the trial: requesting your own account data and your data with Export your work under Subscription (your right to your own data; in the trial that contains your data and the files you uploaded yourself, what Denkploeg made for you comes with a plan), your invoices, and documents you have to sign.
Video, a large batch and whatever costs us real money additionally need the 1 cent verification above.
Plans and period
- You can have several plans at once. Price and credits add up.
- Users. Every plan includes a number of users, shown on the pricing page. With several plans the highest number counts; they are not added up (Cookiebanner with 1 and Planning with 5 give 5 together). See Users.
- Your monthly credits arrive only once the payment for that period is in. If a collection fails, you get no new credits until it succeeds; what you already had stays.
- Monthly or yearly. Yearly you pay a fixed monthly amount times twelve and save about 17 percent. The subscription screen shows how much that saves you. All prices are excluding VAT: Denkploeg supplies businesses only.
- After the first period you can cancel monthly, also when you pay yearly. The same rule applies to every package.
- A price is fixed while your subscription runs. If it changes, you hear about it at least sixty days ahead, and you can cancel until that day. With a launch price or price guarantee nothing changes.
Users
- A user is every login of your own company, whatever the role: owner, admin, maker and reader all count, and so does an open invitation. Externals are free and do not count: customers in the client portal, people who sign a document, public links and field staff without an account.
- Single-person plans (Cookiebanner, Brand book, Website, Images, Video and avatar: 1 user; Social and Ads: 2) cost EUR 5 per month per extra user, up to a maximum. Beyond that, choose a bundle.
- Planning, Relations and Support have tiers: Basic, Medium and Max, each with more users. You move to a higher tier instead of buying single users; above the highest tier there is Enterprise, on request. Everything is unlimited, with fair use up to 50 users.
- You manage extra users in Change plan, under Users. An extra user starts straight away and charges the difference for the rest of the period; fewer users starts at the next renewal, without credit, and only if enough places are free: nobody is removed. Switch someone off first, then the plan can go down. Converting a trial to a plan with fewer users than you have now is not possible either; take extra users or choose a bigger plan. The price per extra user stays fixed while your subscription runs.
- At the maximum, the screen where you invite someone says exactly what you can do: "+1 user for EUR 5" or "go to Medium", with a button to Subscription. If the number cannot be determined, nobody can be added; that is never "unlimited". The first user of a workspace is always allowed.
- The trial has 3 users.
- Already more people than your plan allows? You keep all of them and pay nothing extra. You see a notice on Subscription, and only for a new invitation you add an extra user or a higher plan.
- The Denkploeg assistant has a daily limit per workspace that grows with your number of users.
- Conversations of your assistant are part of your plan: Support 300 per month (Medium 500, Max 1,500), Assistant with cookie banner 300, Website with customer service 600. Above that, a new conversation costs 8 credits. See Support Studio.
What is in your plan
- A studio only works if it is in your plan. If it is not, it stays in the navigation with a padlock, and opens the screen "Not in your plan" with a Change plan button. That applies everywhere: on screen, through an old address, in the connection with your own AI program (it says which module is missing and where to upgrade) and for work that was already queued. Only an owner or administrator can change the plan; anyone else sees who to ask.
- In the trial all studios are on, until the trial ends. After you pay, the studios of your plans, single modules and bundles are on; with a pause, an expired or ended subscription they go off. A cancelled subscription runs until its end date.
- What you have made stays yours. If a studio drops out of your plan, nothing is deleted. A signed document with its proof can always be fetched.
- Storage is part of your plan. Every plan has an amount of storage, and so does the trial; with more plans the largest counts. When it is full you cannot upload new files until you clean up or choose a larger plan. Identical content counts once. If you are already above your storage (for example after a smaller plan) you keep everything that is there; you just cannot grow further. If the storage of your workspace cannot be determined nothing can be added; that is never "unlimited".
- A domain in your package. If your package lists a domain (on the pricing page and in your subscription, under Domain), the package covers a number of domains per year up to an amount, excluding VAT. The number, the amount and the extensions belong to the package; nothing is fixed in the text. In the trial nothing is shown: that comes with a paid subscription.
- If your workspace runs through an agency, the agency decides which studios are on and how much storage there is; you then see no padlock but the explanation of whom to ask.
Installation help
With every plan that includes the cookie banner or the assistant you can take installation and check-up help. Together with you we place the banner and the assistant (or look along), check before and after Accept and Reject that the marked scripts wait, go through a first scan with you and set up the sources of the assistant. An appointment follows within 5 working days.
- Price: EUR 79 one-off, excluding VAT. The amount shows at checkout, on the pricing page and under Subscription, and comes from our settings: if it shows a different amount, that amount applies.
- Free when you pay yearly. Choose a yearly subscription and the help costs nothing, once per subscription.
- Choosing it: at Checkout, in step 2, with the checkbox "Add installation help". If you pay monthly, the amount is a separate line on the first payment, with VAT like the rest; the help does not count towards the price of the following months. If you already pay, you request it afterwards under Subscription: free on a yearly subscription, otherwise as a one-off payment with the code from your app, because it involves money.
- Afterwards you see the status under Subscription: requested, scheduled (with the date) or done. You get a confirmation by email, and we set up the appointment. A request is in the name of the workspace; we need no separate login or access, we work along with you.
- Once per subscription. Once you have had the help, the button is gone. If you have questions later, ask them in the support window.
- There is no money-back guarantee for this help; the trial is the period to try Denkploeg out.
Changing plans
You open Change plan, tick the plans you want (you can combine them) and choose monthly or yearly. Below that you always see what it costs first, with the same calculation as on the invoice: what you pay now, what you pay or get back today, the start date and what follows. Then you confirm. A plan that is cheaper than what you have now only starts at your next renewal: its card then shows the chip From {date} (the day it starts), and until then you keep what you have.
| What you do | When | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| A bigger plan | Right away | The difference for the remaining days of this period |
| Monthly to yearly | Right away | The yearly price minus the unused part of this month |
| A smaller plan | At the next renewal | Nothing extra; until then you keep what you have |
| Yearly to monthly | At the next renewal | Nothing extra |
What costs more asks you to confirm with the code from your app (two-step verification). What costs less does not. You can withdraw a planned change until the renewal.
Example. You pay 89.00 per month and switch to yearly (890.00) on 11 November. Twenty of the thirty days of November are unused: 59.33. You pay 830.67 today, and the year runs from 11 November to 11 November.
Changing your payment method and trying again
- Under Payment method on the card choose Change: iDEAL via SEPA direct debit, card or PayPal. You confirm with the code from your app first, because it involves money. Then you make a new first payment of one cent at Mollie, which you get back as credit on your next period.
- You can change your payment method three times a day. Your old method keeps working until the new one has succeeded. If it fails or you abandon it, nothing has changed. After a successful payment the old authorisation is withdrawn and your subscription carries on with the new one.
- If the last payment failed, Try again collects the outstanding period again from your current authorisation, without a code. If you choose Update payment method, you pay that period straight away with the new method (instead of one cent).
When a payment fails
- If a charge does not go through, you get an email the same day with the amount and a Update payment method button. Your workspace keeps working, but you get no new monthly credits until the payment succeeds; what you already had stays.
- After seven days you get a reminder. You can always Try again yourself or change your method (see above).
- After twenty-one days a team member looks at it and the workspace can be set to read only. That never happens automatically. Nothing is deleted: your data stays and you can export it. As soon as the payment succeeds, everything works again.
- If a payment only arrives after your subscription had already ended, it does not sit still: we get an alert and refund it or credit it. You do not need to do anything.
Pausing
- One to three months, once every twelve months. You choose the length in a window that names the day it switches back on by itself. If your pause of the past year is already used, the window says from which day it is possible again.
- During the pause you can read and export everything, nothing is charged, and what is live stays live.
- Your period moves along by the length of the pause. Resume earlier and you get the days you did not use back.
- When your pause starts you get a confirmation by email, and two weeks before it ends an email with the day it starts again, with a link to cancel.
- During the pause the workspace is read-only, but Resume now and Cancel keep working: you do not have to email anyone.
Discount code
You enter a discount code on the subscription screen or at checkout, or it is already in the link you received (?code=). There are several kinds of codes:
- a discount on your subscription: a percentage or amount, for the first payment, a number of months or for as long as it runs;
- first month free: the first month costs nothing, then you pay the regular price (with yearly billing one twelfth comes off). You pay one cent when you sign up, so that the payments after it can run automatically; you get that cent back with the next payment. Without a mandate your subscription is overdue after the free month, as with a failed payment;
- a discount on yearly billing: only counts when you pay yearly;
- extra credits on a top-up: your next top-up comes with extra credits, never more than a fixed limit above what you pay;
- gift credits: a number of credits with an expiry date, which you get once your first payment is in;
- a longer trial: only during your trial, for new customers.
A code can have conditions: valid from and until a date, only for certain plans, only monthly or yearly, only for new customers, only in certain countries, only after a number of months as a customer, and at most a number of times per company. A code never adds up with a second code, and usually not with a retention offer you took in the past year. A discount is a separate line on the same invoice, with the code next to it. Extra and gift credits are not on the invoice; you see them under Usage. If a payment is charged back or refunded, the credits you got from a code on that payment go back too.
If a code is active that has not yet been taken off any payment, you can remove it again with Remove code. You cannot use the same code again afterwards. Once discount has been taken off a payment, it stays.
If a code does not work you always see the same message (This code does not work), even when it exists but does not fit your subscription; this way nobody can work out from the messages which codes exist. You can try a code at most ten times per hour in a workspace, and a fixed number of times per hour across all your workspaces together; after that you wait an hour.
An offer in the bar at the top
Sometimes a slim bar at the top of the site or the portal shows an offer, for example a discount. The button goes to a page of Denkploeg itself and carries the discount code along (?code=), so you do not have to retype it; it is only used when you check out. Every offer has an end date that is correct and there is never a countdown. You can close a bar: we remember that in a cookie without personal data. Whether the button was clicked is only counted if you gave consent for statistics, as a number per day and without knowing who.
Referral code
If you already pay for Denkploeg, you find your own referral code on the subscription screen. A new company that uses it gets credits once its first subscription payment is in, and you then get the same amount. Not earlier: someone who only starts a trial earns nobody anything. If that first payment is charged back, the credits go back on both sides. You cannot use your own code, not even in a second workspace of the same company.
Cancelling
Cancelling is as easy as starting: two clicks, no call and no code.
- On the subscription screen you click Cancel.
- In the window you see the end date, what happens to your data afterwards and a button for an export. You can pick a reason; you do not have to. If you do, you see at most one matching offer, for example a pause or a temporary discount, next to an equally large button to cancel anyway.
- You click Cancel; the end date is in the button. You get a confirmation by email. If the offer was already used this year, there is no offer.
- Everything keeps working until the end of your period. After the first period of a yearly subscription it ends at the end of the current month, and you get the unused part back.
- No money back after the first payment: that is what the free fourteen-day trial, without a card, is for. A paid period is not refunded, except the unused part when you cancel after the first year (above) and in case of a price change (terms, Article 12).
- Until the end date you undo the cancellation with one click, with Undo on the card.
Help instead of cancelling. If you choose I do not use it enough, you can ask for a 20-minute call; we email a time within two working days. If you choose I miss something, you can view the roadmap. Your subscription simply continues in both cases.
Which emails you get. Every email names a date and says what does and does not happen; nothing disappears without you knowing.
- Trial: a welcome email with the end date and your trial credits, an email a week before the end (what you did so far), one two days before, one the day after it ends and the last one thirty days later, with the day we archive the workspace. No trial emails after that.
- Pause: a confirmation when it starts and an email two weeks before it ends.
- Yearly subscription: an email thirty and seven days before the renewal, with the date, the amount excl. VAT, the payment method and a link to cancel in two clicks. A monthly period does not get that email.
- Cancelling and export: a confirmation with the end date and what happens next, and an email with the download link when your export is ready.
What happens to your data afterwards
- After the end date you can still read and export everything for thirty days.
- Then the workspace is archived. You get an email with an export link.
- Ninety days later your data is erased.
What stays, because the law requires it: invoices and the accounts (seven years) and the record of what happened, with pseudonymous data. You can request an export of your workspace yourself at any time; the link comes by email and works for thirty days.
The terms and rules above are also in our terms and conditions, version 1.0 of 18 October 2026, Article 12; in case of a difference the terms apply.
