Job sheet and material consumption

Record consumption, checklist items and a traceable allocation of approved time entries.

DocumentationJob sheet and material consumption

The appointment and your own confirmed stop use the same job sheet. A linked job uses its existing checklist. A standalone appointment can have its own checklist items. You can check items off or reopen them; standalone appointment items can also be added and removed. Checking an item off does not change the stop status or constitute customer approval.

For materials, you see the planned quantity or description and delivery status. Record actual consumption separately as a number and unit. Choose pieces, sets, metres, litres or kilograms. A comma or decimal point is accepted, with no more than two decimal places. An empty quantity stays unknown. Enter zero only when deliberately recording that nothing was used. A free-form material description is never automatically turned into consumption.

The job sheet shows when financial calculation is blocked: missing consumption or unit, no valid price source, an unknown rate unit or mismatched units. These situations are not treated as zero or free. Unit differences are not converted automatically.

A planner with the required permissions links an existing active one-off product or an accepted quote line for the customer. The price continues to come from that source; there is no manual price field on the job sheet. Linking a price source preserves the latest recorded consumption. The rate unit is set separately and applies wherever that price source is used. A new source or unit does not create an invoice.

A planner can explicitly allocate matching entire approved billable time entries for the same customer and job or project to the appointment. The original employee, time source, times and approval remain unchanged. An entry is not split, moved or counted twice. Entries already used or allocated elsewhere are not offered again. Time recorded directly on the appointment keeps its existing source.

Job sheet actions require a connection. Controls are blocked while saving and feedback appears after receipt. An error preserves input on the open screen. If receipt is unconfirmed, check the current job sheet before adding again. This input is not an offline draft and may be lost when closing or refreshing the screen.

After a customer change, earlier customer records remain recognisable to the planner as historical data. A technician on the current own route cannot see or edit those earlier customer rows. Financial calculation remains tied to the correct historical customer and source.
